BBC Radio Gloucestershire breakfast presenter Mark Cummings has announced he will be leaving the station.
Mark has hosted the breakfast show from the Gloucester studio for the last 18 years.
He made the announcement on this morning’s breakfast show.
“I decided not to apply for my job when put into a redundancy scenario, but rather take this opportunity to move into a completely different life and leave the party a couple of years earlier than planned.
“This unique relationship between listener and presenter, I feel, is something the BBC should invest in, should sing about from the rooftops as it’s a BBC service that no one else offers.
“I’ve got my greatest wish which was to choose to end my presenting career doing the show I love.”
Last week, Anna King announced she would be leaving the radio station.

The changes set to be introduced will see only local programmes broadcast locally from 6am until 2pm during weekdays and replaced with regional and national programmes at other times.
GNC understands a large number of other local presenters are also set to leave the radio station under the planned cuts.
