Man charged following wounding incident in Gloucester

A man has been charged in connection with the wounding of another man in Gloucester on Monday evening (20 March).

Rockoy Christopher Watson, aged 28 and of Hardwicke in Gloucester, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a pair of scissors, in relation to an incident inside The Gym Group at Gloucester Quays on Monday 20 March.

The victim, who sustained wounds, has since been discharged from hospital following treatment.

Watson was also charged in connection with a separate incident on Llanthony Road in Gloucester on Saturday 18 March.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a pair of scissors, in a public place.

Watson appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (22 March) and was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday 14 April.
