A group of males struck a man in the head with a rock during an assault in Gloucester earlier this month.
Investigating officers are asking anyone with information about the incident or who was responsible to come forward as they continue enquiries.
The victim was attacked on Napier Street in the Barton area between 5am and 5.25am on Sunday 14 January.
The three males also stamped on the victim after he tried to get away.
He was left with marks to his face, a laceration to the head and bruising and needed treatment at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
