Two vans were stolen from a company’s yard in Barton Street in Gloucester before being driven recklessly into other people’s property at the end of last week.

Police are appealing for information about the incident, which involved three offenders and happened in the early hours of Friday, 13 January.

A white Mercedes Sprinter van was taken from Cash4Clothes at around 1.40am and then used to smash through the business’s iron gates, causing debris to be strewn all over the road.

The thieves, who wore face coverings, returned at 4.30am and stole a grey Fiat Ducato van before inflicting more damage by driving into a number of vehicles on India Road.

Both vans were later recovered from Sweetbriar Street in Kingsholm.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward. Significant damage was caused to the underside of the first van, meaning sparks would have been flying when the offenders drove away.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident 183 of 13 January.
