Nineteen unique, fun and colourful Scrumpties will be moving in to Gloucester Cathedral on Wednesday 10 June where they will be cared for until they join the Gloucester Carnival on Saturday 25 July.
Children from schools around Gloucester and just beyond recently designed each two foot tall Scrumpty as part of a competition to find the Gloucester 2015 mascot. The winning entry was by Kingsholm Primary School who now have the honour of seeing their design recreated on a bigger scale for The Citizen’s Scrumpty Trail running during August, September and October.
The Scrumpties will be on display in the Tribune Gallery which is open Monday to Saturday 10.30am to 4.00pm and Sunday at 12noon to 2.30pm. Please be aware that access to the Tribune Gallery is via steps. Entry is free but visitors may leave a donation towards the upkeep of the Cathedral if they wish to do so.
