Staff at a Gloucester law firm are holding a charity bake sale / coffee morning to support a local cancer charity.

Equilaw is hosting the charity event at its HQ at Gloucester Business Park to raise funds for its nominated charity of the year, Maggie’s Cheltenham.

The charity bake sale and coffee morning begins is being held from 11am to 2pm on Monday June 11 and staff from neighbouring businesses are welcome to attend.

There are also prizes for the best cake, guess the name of the teddy and guess the number of sweets in a jar.

Sara Day, a member of the firm’s charity committee, said: “We’re hoping the event will be a great success and raise a lot of money for Maggie’s Cheltenham.

“I have family members who have benefited enormously from the help and support that Maggie’s offers and I am so grateful that Equilaw has chosen Maggie’s Cheltenham as its charity of the year.

“Please do come along and make the event a roaring success.”

Maggie’s Cheltenham, which is based in College Baths Road near to the general hospital, offers practical, emotional and social support to people diagnosed with cancer and their families.
