Gloucestershire poultry farm goes under hammer by Kate | Gloucester News Centre - http://gloucesternewscentre.co.uk/
Lifestyle buyers and farmers are being steered to a former poultry farm at Bulley near Churcham near Gloucester, due to go under the hammer on June 1.
Matthew Peters from Bruton Knowles is handling the sale of the property, which is just seven and a half miles north west of Gloucester.
Matthew said: “This is an excellent opportunity to re-develop the site as the bungalow is in need of complete refurbishment.
“It is a wonderful setting in hilly countryside just off the main A40 Ross-on-Wye road.”
The detached three bedroom bungalow, outbuildings and land extends to 43 acres and is available as a whole or in five lots, following the death of farmer John Van Nievelt, a well-known figure in Gloucestershire farming.
There are various wooden poultry pens, calf pens an open fronted pole barn and a steel framed livestock building.
“Due to the layout it may be possible to extend the property subject to the usual planning permissions.”
Lot one consists of the bungalow and 6.37 acres of land. Lots 2-4 consists of 23,7 and 4 acres of agricultural land while lot five conosts of various farm buildings and one and a quarter acres of agricultural land.
The sale will be held on Wednesday June 1 at the Gloucester Farmers Club in Sandhurst Lane.
