A home baker from Gloucester has been featured as one of the top entries in a national baking competition.
Emma Furniss, 48, baked a hot water bottle cake as her entry into National Accident Helpline’s #UnderdogCakeOff recovery competition.
She said: “I love baking but normally make biscuits or little cakes so this was definitely a challenge!
I thought of what I do when I am feeling a bit under the weather and a hot water bottle immediately came to mind
The #UnderdogCakeOff competition, which asks adults to bake a cake around the theme of recovery, has now closed and Emma has made the shortlist to potentially win the competition. Prizes include a Fortnum and Mason hamper.

Once the competition has closed for entries, the photos will be judged and a shortlist and winner chosen by the team at artisan patisserie Anges de Sucre.
