Over the past 12 years Gloucester City Homes (GCH) has grown and evolved from a council ALMO to an independent housing association. The next change is underway as GCH’s repairs and maintenance service for its 4,500 properties changes.

Morgan Sindall (formerly Lovell) have carried out GCH’s repairs for the past 7 years however as the contract comes to an end the service has been brought in-house. Repairs jobs from April will be carried out by GCH’s brand new team, called PropertyCare.

Many of the engineers will be the same friendly faces that tenants recognise however they will be sporting new GCH PropertyCare uniforms and eye-catching new vans.

The decision to bring the service in-house was made last year in order to make greater savings and improve GCH’s services.

GCH have also taken this opportunity to launch a brand new logo, which maintains the same colours and shape. The new logo aims to help GCH grow into the future as it expands and develops.

Michael Hill, Director of Property Services at Gloucester City Homes comments; “Bringing the repairs team in-house allows us to make the service even better and more efficient. Any savings we make can be re-invested into improving tenant’s homes.”

Ashley Green, Chief Executive at Gloucester City Homes added; “Launching both PropertyCare and our new logo are more big steps towards GCH’s growth and development.”
