Local people are invited to a family friendly outdoor event on Sunday 31st July from 2pm to 4pm.

The event has been organised by Gloucester City Council to encourage families to explore and enjoy the meadows.

Activites on offer will include ‘hapa zome printing’, a form of leaf printing from Japan. Visitors can make their own leaf picture to take home.

Join the scavenger leaf hunt around the meadows which are flat and easy to walk around.

No booking is required – just turn up on the day. There is a charge of £1.50 for each participant.

The event will take place regardless of the weather and all children must be accompanied.

Lloyd Griffiths, head of neighbourhood services at Gloucester City Council said, “Come along and enjoy some family fun in one of the county’s most ancient pastures. Hucclecote Meadows were traditionally managed for hay, cattle and sheep grazing, but on Sunday 31st July lots of activities will be available so join us in the fresh air and enjoy your local area.”

You can find Hucclecote Meadows at Lobleys Drive, Abbeymead, Gloucester, GL4 5YG.
