Police have released e-fit images of two men that they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary where the offenders posed as police officers.

The incident happened at an address on Lea Road in Brockworth between 6.45pm and 7.15pm on Wednesday February 17.

Two offenders approached the elderly victim’s house claiming to be police officers chasing somebody. They asked the victim to accompany them to the back garden. While the victim was distracted a third offender then walked into the property and was confronted by the victim’s sister. The third offender then left. The first two men had a brief conversation with the victim asking about money left on the property and locks on the windows before being joined by the third offender. The three men claimed to have caught somebody and left the scene.

It is believed that nothing was taken during the incident.

The first two offenders are described as white, male and around 50-years-old. The third offender is described as male and between 24 and 26-years-old.

Anyone who recognises the two men in the e-fits is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 339 of February 17.
