The first Underground Festival line up announcement has been made today. Pretty Vicious, one of the most talked about new bands in the country, will headline Saturday night at Gloucester Guildhall. This is an absolutely amazing little festival which has had phenomenal acts play over the years it has been running. Read More here.

Cheltenham Town Hall announced last week that former X Factor winner Matt Cardle will be joining them on Sunday 3rd July. I confess I really like Matt, especially as he has a fondness for those Nizlopi lads (he does a super cover of JCB Song) so I’m pretty keen to go to this one. Having seen him at Sportbeat in 2014 I can certainly recommend this show – so get yourself some tickets and have a night out in the splendour of this great venue. Tickets are on sale now – available at:

Gig Of The Week

I’ve chosen an event at South Woodchester’s fabulous venue “The Convent” as this week’s gig of the week. This is a regularly held event aside from their amazing gig line ups known as ‘Gramophone Armageddon’. The events occurs this week on Wednesday 6th April at 8pm. On the bill are the wonderful Bella Hardy Trio, the incredible George Montague, the outstanding Iwan Huws and the sublime Steve Stylusboy. Tickets are just £10 are are available here.

Song Of The Week

As he’s playing at The Convent, has an album coming soon and is just an absolute legend…this week I’ve gone for a song by Mr George Montague. I’ve only seen George play live once before (I intend to put this right very soon) but I remember being absolutely mesmerised by the sounds coming from the Lechlade Festival stage that summer afternoon. So allow me to share with you a live version of his track F.I.N.E – prepare to be blow away!!
