Police are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault in Gloucester yesterday.

A woman was walking along the alleyway that runs off Derby Road towards Asda between 2.45pm and 3pm when a man approached her and started talking to her.

The woman entered into conversation with the man as they walked towards the train station before he pulled her towards him and sexually touched her. He then left towards Asda.

The man is described as being of mixed heritage, 5ft 11ins tall, in his mid to late 20s, of slim build but “muscley”, with a moustache or goatee and short, tidy dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and carrying a plastic bag.

Anyone who saw the man or the incident should call 101 and quote incident 446 of 11 January.
