Sykes 150 pump

Police have issued an image of a water pump that was stolen from a farm near Deerhurst in the hope that it will jog the memories of anyone who may have information on the theft.

The incident happened at farm in the hamlet of Deerhurst Walton between 6pm on Wednesday March 2 and 9.30am on Thursday March 3.

The blue Sykes 1GP 150 water pump with fixed trailer was taken by offenders from a field next to the farm. The plant, worth several thousand pounds is used as a part of flood defence for nearby houses and is only of use to a farmer or for flood defence purposes, so is far more valuable to the owner than it would to the thieves. The theft of the pump has left the village vulnerable to flooding.

If you know anything about this theft or you recognise the pump, please contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 115 of March 3
