A woman remains in a serious condition after her car collided with a lorry on the A38 in Quedgeley yesterday.

The 65-year-old woman was travelling in her Nissan Micra at around 1.40pm, along the A38 away from Gloucester, when her vehicle collided with a lorry at the traffic light junction by Asda.

An air ambulance attended and took her to Southmead Hospital with life threatening internal injuries.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the circumstances leading up to it, should call police on 101 quoting incident 227 of 27 July.
